Moruf is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria ICAN, a graduate of Accounting with distinction and second-class upper from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, and Western Orthodox University, UK respectively. Moruf holds Masters in Business Administration degree (HR option) from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Oyo State, Nigeria.
He has 12 years of practical work experience in public, private sector, and international NGO including fast-moving agricultural retail industry, engineering procurement and construction firm (EPC), and oil and gas servicing firm.
His core skills include but not limited to strategic financial planning, financial modeling, financial data analytics, business intelligence, financial reporting, financial advisory, cost accounting, working capital management, budgeting, payroll, and taxation.
His major achievement include raising of over N250m and $1,000,000 debt capital for vessel financing as Finance Coordinator at Tenax Marine Limited where he was also recognized as key talent staff in year 2019 with financial and other benefits.
Moruf is passionate about entrepreneurship and has been supporting start-ups and has been instrumental in raising debt capital for a mining outfit in South West Nigeria.
Moruf as a Microsoft excel enthusiast has organized training on advanced excel for professional accountants and accounting students. He has also trained students of higher learning and implemented financial reporting automation on accounting software like SAGE 50, QuickBooks, etc
Moruf has attended trainings on working capital management, NGO financial management, financial modeling, International Financial Reporting Standards, balance scorecard, time management, Enterprise Resource Planning systems, etc from global training firms like Philip Consulting, Price Water House Cooper PWC, AJ Silicon Tech Limited etc.
Moruf is highly creative, a goal getter, team player with a positive can-do attitude at all times with excellent business and customer management acumen.
